Certificate in Construction Valuation and Post Contract Cost Management (Skill Upgrading)

Course Justification

Among the Quantity Surveyor's post-contract duties, valuation assessment/preparation takes precedence since it directly affects the contractor's and employer's cash flow. Improper valuation management may have a negative impact on the parties' cash flow, and QS may eventually be held liable for any losses suffered by the client.
If valuations and related cost reporting/management tools are not effectively managed, the principal role of a Quantity Surveyor, i.e., Cost Management, could have failed. In addition, valuation is a root cause of conflict & disputes in many construction projects.
As a result, effective and efficient valuation management is a prerequisite for delivering a dispute-free project while achieving Cost Management success.
